If you are interested in joining the Cell Wall Dynamics Lab as a postdoctoral researcher, we encourage you to consider applying for independent fellowship funding with Umeå University as your host institution. You would get support from us and from the Umeå University Research Support Office when writing your grant. We welcome expressions of interest from motivated candidates at any time; please contact us with your CV, a brief description of your research interests, and a one-page outline of your proposed project and its relevance to the lab's research focus. Expressions of interest that do not include all three documents will not be considered.

The following funding schemes are relevant for prospective postdoctoral researchers:

• EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship — Deadline: 22 January 2027. Open to researchers moving between EMBC member states or associated member states.

• Carl Trygger Foundation (postdoctoral stipend) — Deadline: 19 May 2027

• Sven och Lilly Lawski Foundation (postdoctoral stipend) — Deadline: 15 April 2027

• Novo Nordisk Foundation (postdoctoral fellowships in plant science, agriculture, and food biotechnology) — Expected deadline 20 August 2027.

• MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (European Commission) — To be announced in April 2027. Open to researchers of any nationality; applicants must hold a PhD and comply with the MSCA mobility rule.

• Wenner-Gren Foundations (postdoctoral stipend for international researchers) — Deadline: 1 October 2027
